Social Selling – Stage 6 – Build a network of contacts
Just build a contact network. At LinkedIn, anyone who accepts your invitation (or whose invitation you accept) automatically becomes your follower. It takes me (at a safe pace) about 2 months to build a network of 2-3 thousand people who will be informed by LinkedIn about each of your publications. You can get up to 2,500 followers per month, but we do not recommend doing so because you risk blocking your account.
More importantly – in addition to LinkedIn followers, you’ll also get direct contacts (email, often a phone number) to your target audience. I will write about how to use them effectively as part of stage 3.
